Fathers Day

There’s nothing like a spontaneous visit from family! This past weekend my parents decided to drive in from Michigan to visit for a long weekend. Needless to say I was through the roof excited, especially since we never have visitors…. convincing family and friends that Minnesota is actually a nice place to visit is a lot harder than one might think. I get it, the only thing I knew about Minnesota before I moved here was that the accents were heavy and it was bone chilling cold. While both of these things have been found to be intensely true, there’s so much more to Minnesota than meets the eye.

While my parents were here we were graced with some beautiful weather, so we most certainly took advantage of it! We went out for Fathers Day brunch at Eat Street Social and had a KILLER Bloody Mary, walked around the Stone Arch Festival, drank lots of wine and even had time to top off the weekend by visiting Como Conservatory & Zoo. We were sad to see my parents leave, but can’t wait to see them again in a few weeks in Michigan while I’m in town to Photograph a few weddings!
